Jon is a writer of feature and short screenplays, audio drama and prose, alongside his career as a healthcare worker based in Bristol, UK. He has co-written and performed in several award-winning short films including the sci-fi/horror Eddie that featured at 18 film festivals around the world.  ​

ALAN MANDEL
Director / Producer / Gordon Porlock

Alan Mandel has enjoyed a varied career in the entertainment industry, working both as an actor and director across both stage & screen. As an actor he has appeared in projects such as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Rocketman, War Horse, Pride, Captain America, Eastenders and most recently No One Gets Out Alive, as well as many other projects across film and theatre. 

As a director and producer Alan has worked in both Film and Theatre with credits including; festival and fight director of the Stroud Shakespeare Festival (including directing Romeo + Juliet and Twelfth Night), the critically acclaimed sell out off West End run of Frankenstein: The Metal Opera (The Space Theatre), After a Storm (Exeter Northcott Theatre), In The Space Between (Camden People’s Theatre) and Those That Remain (Berkeley Power Station). For film, his credits include; music videos for Electric Swing Circus and Belly of the Steel Beast, assistant directing The Underwater Realm, fight directing the music video Friend or Foe for Madcap and developing a series of anthropological documentaries for the Pitt Rivers Museum. ​

RICHARD CAMPBELL

Richard is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who runs a recording studio in Hackney (Orpheus Studio), working with a variety of artists across many genres. He writes and produces music under his own name and as Belly of the Steel Beast. He wrote and produced Frankenstein: The Metal Opera, and also manages and performs with a function band (Bad Mutha Covers).

CAROL PESTRIDGE
Assistant Director / Francesca Jones

Carol Pestridge has worked in the theatre industry as a freelance Stage Manager for the last 13 years. She has worked with many theatre companies including: Told by an Idiot, Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Frantic Assembly, National Theatre Wales, The Young Vic, Improbable, Barbican Theatre, Manchester Royal Exchange, The Menier Chocolate Factory, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, SOHO Theatre, and the west-end premiere of the multi Olivier award nominated Emilia at the Vaudeville.

Carol is also a songwriter (with Belly of the Steel Beast), singer (with Bad Mutha Covers), and writer and producer of Frankenstein: The Metal Opera.

TASH REITH-BANKS

Aubrey Wood

Tash Reith-Banks trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and is an actress and journalist. Previous work includes numerous audiobooks, devised work with companies such as Slung Low, sketch comedy shows including Newsrevue and stints at the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival. She currently works as a production and commissioning editor for The Guardian.

MAY CUNNINGHAM
Bryony Halbech

May Cunningham is a London based actor who trained at the Oxford School of Drama, LAMDA and the Sylvia Young Stage School. She has appeared at a number of fringe theatres at Theatre503, The Old Red Lion Theatre, Theatre N16 and Theatro Technis. Other work includes voiceover work for E4, the RSC and various short films and music videos. She is also a writer and has worked with the Royal Court's Unheard Writers Program and Yellow Earth Theatre on her plays. She is so excited to be working with the Red Valley team.

ALEXANDER BROAD
Sound Design / Clive Schill

Alexander has been a London based sound engineer for over 14 years and is currently working on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in the West End. His previous work includes Head of Sound for Chicago: The Musical (Garrick Theatre), Assassins, She Loves Me, Adrian Mole: The Musical, Barnum (Menier Chocolate Factory), Stepping Out (Vaudeville Theatre), The Audience (Apollo Theatre) and Annie Get Your Gun (UK Tour). Alexander performs as part of the function band Bad Mutha Covers and is a frequent collaborator with the Red Valley team and finds it a welcome change to be performing in front of the mic!

RACHEL FOWLER
Pamela Jennings

Rachel Fowler is an award winning American actor/director/writer/coach living in London.  Recent film credits include: Eddie & Sunny with Gabriel Luna and Joanna Vanderham, There’s someone at the window with Anna Bullard, and two award winning shorts, Mrs. Drake and Unclasped.  She wrote and directed her first short film, STILLNESS, in collaboration with 555 films and  contributed to the LoveBytesOriginal podcast Nice & Naughty, released on Audible.
She frequently voices video games, and most notably, recently voiced Miranda Walker for Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman Chronicles, directed by Dirk Mags.

Daon started his acting career at Manchester Youth Theatre before moving to London. He has appeared in various projects in TV including: Teachers, Holby City, Doctors, Casualty, Waterloo Road. Theatre includes Women Beware Women (The Globe) Macbeth (Manchester Royal Exchange) Holy Sh!t (The Kiln) Slaves Of Solitude (Hampstead Theatre) The Canterbury Tale (RSC). Presenting projects include: Designer Travel,  Battle of the Wines.

Hester Hiyashi

Susan trained at East 15 Acting School and Ecole Philippe Gaulier.

On stage, she has worked for companies such as the Royal Shakespeare Company,  Shakespeare's Globe and is associate artist of Tangled Feet.  She most recently played the lead role in "Missing People" by Brad Birch at the Leeds Playhouse and in Japan.  On screen, Susan most recently appeared in "Years & Years" (HBO/BBC).  She is the voice of Yuki Yamazaki in the game "Hitman" and has also voiced various Dr Who episodes and audio books. www.susanhingley.com

Malcolm Landry

David has worked as an actor in theatre both in the UK with the RSC, RNT, NTW and internationally with Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre in The Bee. Tvand film includes; The Crown (Netflix), the BAFTA nominated, Kenneth Williams: Fantabulosa! (BBC), Honour (ITV) Tracey Beaker (BBC), Into the Storm (BBC/HBO), Doc Martin (ITV), A470 (S4C) and many others. Radio includes: Arnold Brown & Company, Lord of Misrule, Slag Madonna and has also worked as a reader for First Hand, Woman's Hour and The World Tonight, all for BBC Radio 4. Podcasts: Chain of Being by Cai Gwylim Pritchard and 1865 by Steven Walters,  Directed by Rob McCollum. David has a large number of voice-overs to his name and has his own studio.

Natalie trained professionally at The London School of Musical Theatre and has enjoyed a varied career as an actor and vocalist over the last 16 years.
 
Her theatre credits include: Edwin Drood in "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" (Arts Theatre London), 1st Cover Fantine in "Les Miserables" (Queens Theatre, West End), 1st Cover Annie Oakley in "Annie Get Your Gun" (UK No.1 Tour), Jeanie in “Hair” (European Tour), Claire in “Ordinary Days” (Drayton Arms London) & Mother/Ensemble in Evita (UK No.1 Tour). She has made numerous appearances at the Thursford Christmas Spectacular as a vocalist and swing and performs as a soloist for weddings & events alongside her theatre work.
 
She is thrilled to be making her voice over debut as part of the Red Valley Podcast!

ROBIN HELLIER
Cafe Owner

Robin is a London based actor who trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.  His stage work includes credits in association with the National Theatre of Scotland (Daphne Oram's Wonderful World of Sound), the National Theatre (Lehman Trilogy) and physical theatre projects with Company of Wolves (The End of Things). Other work includes TV, feature film and short film credits as a fight performer, and he has recently completed recording character voice over for a video game due for release in 2022.  
He is currently completing his training as an instructor in dramatic combat with the BADC, assisting with teaching at drama schools across London.

James is a London based actor who graduated from Rose Bruford College in 2013. Since then he has appeared in many TV shows, including; Vikings, Unforgotten, The Last Kingdom, The First Team and People Just do Nothing.
Theatre credits include, 'East’, ‘The words I should have said’ and ’The beginning of the end'. James also created and performed in his own one man play, ‘Ernie’ adapted from his grandfather’s memoirs of WW2.
